The Industrial Revolution had great impact on the economic, cultural, and social conditions of those times. The revolution began in Great Britan, and then rapidly spread throughout North America, Western Europe, and eventually worldwide. The Industrial Revolution was an important turning point in history because every aspect of daily life was influenced by it. Chronic hunger and malnutrition were a problem for the majority of the population of the world including England and France, until the 19th century. Due to malnutrition, life expectancy in places like France and England was about 35 years.

Malnutrition now a day kills about 2 million kids each year, which means that 5 children die each minute because of chronic malnutrition, according to a report made by Save The Children. Rising food prices is one of the main causes for this problem. This problem is putting future global progress on reducing child mortality at risk.
